a short site about The Divine Comedy

Everyone’s favourite son of a preacher man, Neil Hannon, and his band of indie fops have had a radical make over for their latest album, Regeneration. We’re talking a major label deal, Radiohead’s producer, new haircuts… the works. The result is simply magnificent. The Sinatra-esque swirl of Lost Property keeps faith with the lonely hearts brigade, but there’s also soaring rage and acid tongue-lashings in Dumb It Down and the coke clique-lambasting Masterming. Bravo, sir.
