a short site about The Divine Comedy

Third album from Ireland’s Neil Hannon and his garishly pretentious outlet for grand muse in music. Inspired as much by Tennyson as Scott Walker, this is an often glorious, always sumptuous paean to life, love and longing, delivered with an equal amount of tongue-in-cheekery and tearful passion. The Dogs And The Horses, particularly, exudes enough lush beauty to make a dictator weep.
