A Divine Cover Version! The Divine Comedy take on the Queens Of The Stone Age at V

The Divine Comedy surprised fans on the opening day of the V FESTIVAL (August 21) with their 'unique' cover of a classic track by Queens Of The Stone Age.

Neil Hannon and co treated the crowd to a rendition of No One Knows, complete with banjos and violins.

The track featured in a set featuring their hits 'Becoming More Like Alfie', 'Come Home Billy Bird' and the closing song 'National Express'.

One fan told NME.COM: "This has to be the weirdest cover version I have ever heard at any festival! There were fucking banjos and everything!"

The Divine Comedy came onstage following an opening performance from Big Brovaz, who kicked off the 2004 event.

More acts to follow today include Muse, Hope OF The States, The Killers and Kings Of Leon.
