The Divine Comedy sold more than 27,000 to go in at Number 3, backed by a week of advertising and TV performances for the single, The Pop Singer's Fear Of The Pollen Count, including Top Of The Pops and the Pepsi Chart Show. However, the summer TV schedules have offered few outlets for live performances, due to TFI and Later both being off the air. There will be a new promo campaign timed for the release of a second single, Gin Soaked Boy, in November.
