Neil Hannon and friends recent image change has been remarkable. Out go the suits, neatly clipped hair and arched eyebrows in favour of shabby T-Shirts, lank locks and a strange desire to revisit their indie roots. Odd, given Hannon's previous incarnation as a louche Irish Casanova and Noel Coward disciple. Still, it hardly matters in the face of this month's new album Regeneration. Produced by Nigel Godrich (Radiohead, Travis) it finds Hannon shifting towards more considered songwriting and drawn out, epic ballads. Tickets cost £11 (London £12.50)
