Demos
Before Neil Hannon signed any contract, he recorded and distributed himself (i.e. by selling outside his school) his own recordings, that is to say: an EP and an album by the band October, as well as the first Divine Comedy demos which enabled him to sign with Setanta.
Then, before going to the studios, Neil has always demoed most of his songs on his own; some of these archives were released as B-sides.
