This promo compilation was issued by BMG Music Publishing soon after they got The Divine Comedy to them, after A Short Album About Love, for their publishing rights. Around the same time, BMG also issued a Divine Comedy only promo featuring a few tracks from their catalogue: A Superb Collection Of Songs For The Large And Small Screen aimed for the cinema and television industries.

This one is rather different, it is a double digipack with a blue cover featuring the BMG logo.

The discs features not only songs from recently signed bands, such as The Divine Comedy’s ‘In Pursuit Of Happiness’, but also more established artists such as The Jam or The Bee Gees. As said on the back cover, this is “an arbitrary selection of just some of the fine music [they]’re proud to be working with.”

A couple of years later, another Divine Comedy song would be featured on a similar BMG compilation.
