The third Casanova Companion has got a (frog) green design (booklet and CD). The photo inside was taken during the filming of the video. If you look carefully you’ll notice that the ship is named ‘Valérie’ (after Valérie Lemercier with whom Neil Hannon recorded ‘Comme Beaucoup Des messieurs’)

Around the centre of the CD is engraved: C3899 SETCD 032 IFPI L122 MASTERED BY NIMBUS IFPI L122

The cassette of The Frog Princess is a release of the Casanova Companion No.3 only, and so is based from the CD 1. The only B-side on the cassette is ‘Motorway to Damascus’ which is the only new song from the B-sides. The sleeve has a green background and the front picture has been vertically stretched to fit the format while the photo inside has been cut (we can no longer read ‘Valérie’ on the ship). The tracks are numbered 1 and 2 because both of them are on both sides. The tape also looks the same on both side. On the credits for ‘Motorway To Damascus’, while on the CD sleeve it is printed : “Vocals & All Instruments: Neil Hannon”; there we have just: “Everything: Neil Hannon”.

Some were given away to radios by Alan James PR and features a sticker. One can read: “Taken from the highly-acclaimed album ‘Casanova’, ‘The Frog Princess’ is The Divine Comedy’s follow-up to the chart hits ‘Something For The Weekend’ and ‘Becoming More Like Alfie’. The Divine Comedy head out on a UK tour this month, ending in London on Sunday 20th where the band will be joined by a 30-piece orchestra.”

Some others seem just to be the CD 1 with an AJPR sticker. However, this one gives more details about the UK tour: “Divine Comedy release a new single The Frog Princess for Setanta on November 4th. The single, the follow-up to the chart hits Something For The Weekend and Becoming More Like Alfie, is taken from the highly-acclaimed album Casanova. Radio One’s Evening Session will broadcast a set from the Divine Comedy as part of Soho Live on November 13th.
Divine Comedy also tour the UK in October, which includes a solo out show at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Sunday 20th. The show will be an orchestral extravaganza as the band will be joined on stage by a thirty piece ensemble. The other tour dates in October: 9th Manchester University, 10th Cambridge Junction, 12th Coventry University, 14th Glasgow Arches, 15th Sheffield Leadmill, 17th Exeter Uni, 18th Bristol University.”
