Emil Chakalov

Emil Chakalov is a violin player from Bulgaria. He has studied at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and works for the English National Ballet.

Emil has played for many pop musicians such as Melanie C, Kylie Minogue, Jamiroquai, Phil Manzanera, Editors, White Lies. He also performs for stage & screen music such as The Childhood Of A Leader composed by Scott Walker.

He has started playing for Neil Hannon in 2011. First for non-album projects such as the studio recording of In May, to perform Promenade live, or the Sevastopol mini-opera. He has since been featured in the albums Sticky Wickets and Foreverland.
