The Cherry Orchard was the temporary name given by Neil Hannon to his band after
October when he recruited
Kevin Traynor and
John McCullagh, in addition to October’s guitarist
Lawrence Hoy. The band played a couple of concerts in Enniskillen, mainly composed of covers, and recorded a
demo in Banbridge.
When Lawrence left the band, Neil changed to name again to
The Divine Comedy. Consequently, the demo was labelled under that new name.
