Billy Cooper

Billy Cooper is a professional trumpeter who studied as the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He is well known as Billy The Trumpet for playing trumpet for The Barmy Army, a group of cricket supporters.

In 2013, Billy Cooper contributed to the recording of Duckworth Lewis Method’s Sticky Wickets. He subsequently joined the band live in several occasions.

He contributed to the 2016 album Foreverland, mainly with a solo on the song ‘To The Rescue’. He had the chance to perform it live with the band at their lives shows at the London Palladium in February 2017.

Sometimes at cricket test matches we can hear him playing a few chords from Divine Comedy tunes such as ‘National Express’.
