Christopher Henry Difford is an English singer, musician, songwriter, and record producer, mainly known as the founding member of new-wave band Squeeze.
He has written for other artists such as Jools Holland, Helen Shapiro, Billy Bremner, Elvis Costello, Elton John, Wet Wet Wet, and others.
In 2008 he shared the stage with Neil Hannon at the
Rogue’s Gallery event at the Barbican.
In 2018, he contributed vocals for The Divine Comedy’s ‘
Absolutely Obsolete’ on the album
Office Politics (released 2019). The same year, The Divine Comedy also shared the stage with Squeeze for the ONBlackheath festival.
