He played a big part of The Divine Comedy’s success in the Britpop era.When he discovered the song ‘Something For The Weekend’ at a friend’s in 1996, the next day he played it twice on his Radio One show. It soon became his Breakfast Biggie. After that he invited The Divine Comedy to play at his TV show TFI Friday. Then, the sales of the album Casanova exploded.
