This year's Rosslyn Academy High School Play was the rollicking fun children's story of Swallows & Amazons. The musical play is based on the novel of the same name first published by Arthur Ransome in 1930. The story was adapted to the theatre by the Royal National Theatre and debuted at the Bristol Old Vic in December 2010. Rosslyn Academy is the first high school to stage the musical play.

17/11/2015, Gigging NI - REVIEW: NI Music Prize 2015 - Mandela Hall Belfast
The Oh Yeah Music Centre Legends award has been handed to the likes of Gary Moore, Stiff Little Fingers and Therapy? to name a few and it was very fitting that the name of Neil Hannon was added to this list on Saturday night. The renowned singer song from Fermanagh, who by his own admission may well always only be remembered for writing the theme tune to “Father Ted” and “My Lovely Horse”, has been the constant in The Divine Comedy and more recently The Duckworth Lewis Method where he has woven powerful and touching lyrics into songs that genuinely make you just want to listen.

Wicklow man Andy Gaffney had a - let's be blunt - unusual request for the hotel when he stayed there on Saturday night, and they came through.
The 30-year-old was in Belfast to see musician Neil Hannon pick up his Oh Yeah award.

The great and good of the local music scene gathered last night in Belfast’s Mandela Hall where Neil Hannon also receiving Oh Yeah Legend Award for his 26 years of fabulousness. We remember him turning up at Hot Press Central in 1990 with a Dunne’s Stores bag full of his debut Fanfare For The Comic Muse mini-album, and retiring to The Bankers for the accompanying interview.
Since then, he’s accumulated a body of work which puts him up there…

Neil dedicated his performance to the people who were killed attending a rock concert at the Bataclan Theatre in Paris during a series of terror attacks on Friday.
