This song, though part of
Fanfare For The Comic Muse, wasn't on the
Active Studio demo, which leads me to think it was written in 1990.
It deals with rebirth, so maybe also with a possible turn in TDC's style at the time. Actually, as we don't have any early songs by Neil Hannon, we can't tell.
The title of the song, though, still proves a hold to U2. It seems indeed to refer to "Indian Summer Sky", on their album
The Unforgettable Fire.
