This song was written for the Father Ted series. One of the episodes, ‘Night of the Nearly Dead’ features a parody of Daniel O’Donnell, called Eoin McLove. In the episode Ted, Dougal and especially Mrs Doyle watch him on TV when he sings this song. So only a small part of the song can be heard.

The complete version of the song was finally released within the Casanova - Behind The Cravat CD in 2020. However an alternate version of the song is featured on the end credits of the ‘Small And Far Away – The World Of Father Ted’ documentary from 2010.
