This short Henri Mancini song was written for the film
Breakfast at Tiffany’s and sung by Audrey Hepburn. Being a classic, it had been often covered by many artists including Frank Sinatra, or R.E.M.. According to Neil Hannon [1] the home recording which is featured on
Rarities was done in the early nineties. It is likely that Neil Hannon discovered the song through the movie with Audrey Hepburn, although perhaps Neil Hannon was also aware of R.E.M. version as Neil was a big fan of them in those days.
It was played live a few times in 1993/1994 and then later in 2004.
