It was recorded as a demo. But it wasn’t judged good enough, so Neil almost entirely re-wrote it until it became ‘Middle-class Heroes’. The melody is the same (more or less) and we find the same reference to Hamlet: “My words fly up, my thought remain below:/Words without thoughts never to heaven go.”
