Neil said about the song: “It is about self-justification. Sometimes you want to prove things to people when what’s important is who you are. It sounds a bit like folk music” [1].

It originally was first played as a country song in 2000 before the recording of Regeneration. It is still played at concerts from times to times. Duke Special also covered on the piano it at the Vicar Street show in 2008.

The second verse is said to have been inspired by something Robbie Williams once said to Neil. [2]
